THE COMPANY:
Cundall is an international multi-disciplinary engineering and sustainability consultancy.
Founded roughly 40 years ago in response to the chaotic nature of the construction industry at the time, Cundall was setup to deliver projects more effectively in a multi-disciplinary people and client-centred practice. The company now employs in excess of 1,000 engineers across 20 countries.
THE CHALLENGE:
Cundall were looking for a Head of Critical Systems in Poland. Although they already had an established team in Warsaw, they were lacking on-site Critical Systems expertise.
With multiple major projects on the horizon for a key client, Cundall wanted to be able to deliver this project locally rather than having to rely on another of their offices in another country.
With a long-established relationship between the two businesses, Cundall approached Aylin White to add the urgently needed Critical Systems expertise to their Warsaw team.
THE ROLE:
The immediate need was for a Critical Systems lead to establish the team and work at a Technical Director level.
THE SERVICE:
Working on an exclusive basis, the Aylin White team began a thorough talent insights campaign to identifying key companies and people within the data centre sector that they could approach. Alongside this, the team were collecting valuable market information regarding remuneration packages, business and personal motivators and other softer metrics that would arm the team with sufficient local knowledge to support the next phase of their outreach.
After assembling a target list of candidates with the right expertise, the team approached the shortlist over a period of two weeks, gathering interest and feedback on the role.
With contacts established and market intelligence gathered, the consultants at Aylin White were able to provide this information back to Cundall, giving them valuable insight on market rates, perception of their brand, and their closest competitors in the Polish market.
Alongside this, Cundall were also supplied with an exciting shortlist of suitable candidates that were available to interview immediately.
THE RESULT:
Following Aylin White’s assistance, Cundall successfully hired a Head of Critical Systems to lead their work in Poland.
Having successfully hired an experienced lead, Cundall were then able to introduce additional Critical Systems professionals into their team, including an Electrical Engineer and a Power Systems Engineer, both of which Aylin White helped to find and place.
Cundall needed to recruit several mechanical, electrical and civil engineers on two-year contracts to oversee the construction of a major data centre.
